For Girls

Share Your Story

* Everyone has a story to share! Do you know that writing about upsetting or frustrating situations can actually help you feel better?  Try writing an essay, a poem, a play, or whatever words come to mind on a piece of paper.

* Once you've finished writing you might feel relieved because you've expressed your emotions. Later, you might come back and read what you wrote and find that you understand the situation in a different way. Sometimes, if you share your writing, you might find that you are not the only person who is sad or hurt about things.

Here are some writing tips:

  • Don't worry about spelling or grammar. Just write!

  • Date your writing so you know when you created it

  • Store your writing in a private place

  • Keep a journal for the purpose of writing about the joys and sorrows of your life

Share and Connect

This is the connection section. If you see a new movie or read a book that you love, this is the place you can review and recommend it to other girls. Communicate with members through discussion, mentoring boards, and shared entertainment reviews help you improve your self image, build friendships, resist peer pressure, achieve your goals, get along with your friends, and much more.
