Programs are research-based and gathered by the Girls Inc. National Resource Center. We encourage girls ages 6-18 to take healthy risks and master physical, intellectual, and emotional challenges. Girls receive Life Skills Training. Programs are facilitated by professionally trained, caring staff.

  • Latinas Y Que

    Latinas Y Que is is the newest addition to Girls Inc. of San Diego County's list of impacting programs. This weekly leadership development program is designed specifically for girls with Mexican and Central-American heritage. Latinas can share their cultural pride and, at the same time, set goals for college, careers, and roles they can play in their communities.

  • Girls Inc. Allies in Action

    Girls Inc. Allies in Action is an "anti-mean girl" curriculum that addresses girls' complex social realities and works to combat the emotional bullying often experienced among adolescents.   • Girls Inc. Preventing Adolescent Pregnancy

    Girls Inc. Preventing Adolescent Pregnancy helps girls identify ways and reasons to avoid early pregnancy. The program bolsters girls' skills, motivation, and resources for being in charge of their sexual health and avoiding teen pregnancy.

  • Girls Inc. Media Literacy

    Girls Inc. Media Literacy teaches girls to analyze what they see and hear on television, film, and music. Girls learn to critically think about the messages imposed on them by the media and advocate for images they would like to see.

  • Girls Inc. Leadership and Community Action

    Girls Inc. Leadership and Community Action builds leadership skills and creates lasting social change by partnering girls with adult mentors in community action projects.

  • Girls Inc. Operation SMART

    Girls Inc. Operation SMARTbuilds girls' skills and interest in science, math, and technology. Hands-on activities give girls the opportunity to explore, ask questions, and solve problems.

  • Girls Inc. Economic Literacy

    Girls Inc. Economic Literacy introduces girls to basic economic and financial concepts; including money management, investments, and global economics.

  • Girls Inc. Friendly PEERsuasion

    Girls Inc. Friendly PEERsuasion puts teenage girls in charge of helping younger girls avoid alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs by teaching healthy ways to confront peer pressure and manage stress.

  • Girls Inc. Sporting Chance

    Girls Inc. Sporting Chance builds movement and athletic skills, cooperative and competitive spirit, health awareness, and interest in sports as girls explore the benefits of an active lifestylets teenage girls in charge of helping younger girls avoid alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs by teaching healthy ways to confront peer pressure and manage stress.
